Custom Glock 44 - The famous Austrian revolver maker's first rimfire pistol, the Glock 44, was released ahead of the SHOT Show 2020 and was undoubtedly one of the show's most significant new products. The G44 has the same external dimensions as the G19, but is a blowback pistol chambered in .22 LR. To have enough slide weight (within G19 slide dimensions) for reliable operation of the blowback rimfire action, the pistol features a hybrid slide design – a steel slide core encased in a polymer outer sleeve. Well, there have been some reports of unsatisfactory stiffness of these slides, which we can't confirm since we witnessed no slide issues after firing thousands of shots while testing these guns and shooting at our booth on Shot Show day. . However, for those who, for the aforementioned or whatever reason, do not like the original G44 slide design or want to mount red dot sights on the G44, there is now an aftermarket alternative. Nelson Precision Manufacturing has released a machined aluminum G44 slide called the 44X.
The Nelson Precision 44X slide is manufactured from 7075 aluminum and has a hard coat anodized finish. This slide features an optical cutout compatible with Trijicon RMR and SRO red dot sights. The slide cover plate and red dot cut cover plate are also made of aluminum. The 44x slide is not assembled but is compatible with all OEM G44 slide parts. For best performance, the company recommends using high-quality, high-velocity .22 LR ammunition.

The G44 comes standard with the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) for increased precision and accuracy.
